Originally I was only able to help William Eng during the reception (banquet) only. But since I’ve completed my weekend errands, I drove over to John Paul Jones Park in Brooklyn, New York (Bay Ridge area) to help him out with the bride and groom photo session.

Such an amazing couple. The love story how they found each other is just totally breath taking.   Here are a few images for you to check out.   Congrats Wendy & Ebert!!!

Like to give a huge shut out to an old friend, DJ Andy Look and his team who I haven’t seen in years.  And of course, as always, it is an honor to be working with my good buddy William Eng.

Red Egg and Ginger Party is where the proud parents introduced their new baby to family and friends. Traditionally, a newborn was not given a name or formally accepted into the family until this time because, as in other countries, infant mortality rates in China were quite high. A baby who reached one month of age was likely to survive, and so the event was celebrated.

What’s the significance of Red Eggs and Ginger?

• As in weddings or festivals, the color red represents happiness and good luck.
• Eggs are significant because they symbolize fertility and the renewal of life. Also, their shape is traditionally associated with harmony and unity. According to some sources, an even number of eggs means a daughter has been born, while an odd number represents a son.
• Ginger is important because in the yin (cold) and yang (warm) balance of Chinese food, ginger adds a touch of ‘hotness’ to the nutritional needs of the new mother, who is tired and weak (or too yin) after giving birth.

Now that I got some of the traditional explanation out of the way. Let me welcome not one but two beautiful girls, Kyleigh & Zoe. Her daddy, Henry and I have known each other since we were teenagers (mid 1980s).  Thanks to the world of internet, we have always kept in touch since American Online (aka AOL), and now Facebook.   Congrats Henry & Jennifer, you guys have two beautiful girls.

Almost forgot, thanks to my greatest helper, Mr. William Eng.

I didnt realized its been so long since I posted some wedding photos.  Looks like I got some catching up to do.

On September 18, 2011, I had the honor to photographed Annette and John’s wedding at the Queens Botanical Garden.   It was such a beautiful day, especially when we were getting rain rain and more rain for the past few weeks.   It was also my first time visiting this garden. Wow, maybe I should visit Queens more often…  Yes I’m from Brooklyn. hahaha!

Annette has a huge love for bridges.  Because the reception was being held in Douglaston, NY.  Travelling from College Point Queens to DUMBO/Brooklyn Bridge Park for the backdrop of the Brooklyn Bridge, then back to Douglaston NY for the reception would have been crazy.  We would spend more time sitting in the car with traffic then taking pictures.   So after some research, I suggested Francis Lewis Park with the backdrop of the Whitestone Bridge.   Which totally turned out to be awesome as you can see below.   Enjoy!!!

Before I forget,  I like to give a shut out to the awesome make-up artist Jina at JAC Beauty.  Thanks for making my bride extra pretty that day.  Your Rock girl!!.   And of course as always thank you for helping me out William Eng.

Wow, its been 10 years already.  How time flies!!   I still remember that day as if it was yesterday.   As much as I love to talk,  this is one event I don’t talk much ab on.  I always wonder what would have happened to me if I came out a few minutes late out from the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel?

Here’s something I wrote three years ago.   I wish I still have the one I wrote 9 years ago.  Oh well.  This one will do….

7 years ago around this time, I was driving a friend out into the city to her job because she was late getting up and needed to be in the office by 8:30am for an important meeting. At that time, I just got laid off from Clear Channel Communication, so my schedule are FREE. I decide what the hell, I got nothing better to do anyway. I normally do not take the Tunnel out into the city, because of the $3.50 fee.  Yes I am cheap.  HAHA!  But because we were running late, she told me to take it and will pay me back, plus the drop off spot was World Trade Center Path Station. So it makes sense to.

I remember traffic were pretty back up. and once we came out of the tunnel I happened to look up and said “oh world trade center is on fire”. I didn’t think much of it at that time… but once the 2nd plane hit the second tower, I knew at that point New York was under attack. I am not going to get into details anymore, but I will always remember what happen that day. Many of my friends do work in those buildings or in that area. Just so happen that Tuesday, they all decided either to take the day off, or they were running late into work.
